About half our work is renovation, and most of it is on houses built before 1980. Villas and bungalows in Beckenham, St Albans and Merivale, and brick and tile in Burnside and Ilam.
Older houses have surprises in them. We open up and inspect before we finalise a price wherever the client will let us, because a contingency you never spend is better than a variation you did not expect.
You can usually stay in the house. We seal the working area, keep one bathroom and the kitchen live wherever the design allows, and give you a written programme showing which weeks will be disruptive.
